Criminal Law Quiz, 2024
The Society for Advancement of Criminal Justice is delighted to announce that we are going to organise a Criminal Law Quiz this year for high school in West Bengal, with a particular interest in law. An initiative first of its kind, aims to provide an invaluable exposure to students aiming to get into top NLUs, or any top University, of the country.
The Quiz will deal specifically with subjects surrounding Criminal Law, Criminology, Victimology, etc. The aim for the quiz is to raise awareness for criminal law in upcoming law students, so that they are aware about their basic rights and responsibilities.
Policy Paper Presentation Competition in Criminal Law, 2023
The Society for Advancement of Criminal Justice, NUJS, is delighted to announce that we are going to host a Policy Paper Presentation Competition in Criminal Law, which will be a first-of-its-kind initiative hosted by any NLU in the country. The competition aims to get the highest quality of academic work with a solution-oriented outlook which provides ways to change the existing criminal law regime for the better.

The Society for Advancement of Criminal Justice- Essay Writing Competition
The Society for Advancement of Criminal Justice at the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, is organising its annual essay competition with the objective of fostering academic discourse on contemporary and emerging issues in the field of criminal law. The theme of this year’s competition is "Recent Developments in Marital Rape Jurisprudence". The Competition is open to all students pursuing undergraduate (three or five-year) or postgraduate law degrees from any law school, university, or college recognised by the Bar Council of India.
NECROPHILIA’ IN LIGHT OF THE RECENT KARNATAKA HIGH COURT JUDGEMENT BY DR. DYAN MCGUIRE.
On the 25th of September, 2023 Dr. Dyan Mcguire from Saint Louis University joined us for an insightful session on Necrophilia. The Society thanks her for interacting with the students and delivering a thoughtful lecture on this pertinent matter.
